The problem

Waisting valuable time connecting with customers

The most crucial feature of Connected Cars workshop tool is - the Conversations page. The conversations page is the communication central between the workshops and the car owners.

Through workshop interviews, it became obvious that a significant part of the messages being sent from the workshops were repetitive, meaning the workshops often send the same message to multiple car owners which was time consuming.

The workshops dealt with that by having text snippets on their desktop from where they copy/paste these reoccurring messages. This got messy quickly, with multiple snippets and not to mention having to sync these messages with colleagues to keep the communication towards customers consistent.

I was given the responsibility to do a comprehensive clean up of Connected Cars current design system, in order to make it more intuitive and understanding for other designers to use, and secure a cleaner, flexible and lean visual design language.
